Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro OcasioRuiz (born January 10, 1993), known professionally as Rauw Alejandro is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He is often referred to as the "King Of Modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. The debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in November of the year 2020. Vice Versa was his follow-up studio album. The lead single, "Todo de Ti", was released in June 2021. Two Latin Grammy Awards have been won by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz the Latin Grammy Award winner, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on the 10th of January 1993. He also grew up in Canovanas as well as Carolina. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a guitarist and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his backing vocalist. They introduced him to the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. Six years ago, Alejandro and his father lived in the continental United States, mainly Miami and New York City, where they were influenced by the R&B and dancehall genres. 7] 8 Alejandro and fellow Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA are childhood friends; they all attended the same high school and shared classes together. In the early years of their lives, Alejandro competed in school talent shows since he has an interest in dancing. He attended the University of Puerto Rico after having graduated from high school. He was a soccer player from six to twenty-five. However, he quit playing because he didn't perform as well as he had thought. In the year 20 the injury he sustained. He eventually moved to Orlando to see if he could be selected by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro's musical style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. Also, he enjoys dance music and rhythmic pop. Billboard said that this has made him distinguish himself from a increasing number of reggaetoneros who lean towards pop. Presley and Jackson were influential early on. He was also influenced later by Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee. He also credits Ciara as an influencer in music.
