Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her father is Nigerian as well as Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was raised on a council estate south of London. At the age fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was a part of various stage productions during her school days, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Following that success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she got Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe was also the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. Her stage credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired at The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series on ABC Revenge in two episodes. In May 2013 that she would quit the show after completing one guest appearance on the first episode of season three. She played Tituba in the program Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents Roy and Patty and her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's family, which is all sportsmen, played baseball in summers and played hockey during winter. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She was a dancer. When she reached two and a half and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. She was the top soloist in major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
