Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They grew in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone was first introduced to gymnastics by her daycare teacher Aimee Borman at just six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles won a gold in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the elite competition in the year 2011. The following year Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Biles was distinguished by her consistent performance, exuberant persona, and the difficulty she encountered at all four events such as vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and the balance beam.
